I don't really know what I am musing on these days. It's more like an irregular stream of consciousness thing...it seems to be working.

Oh, To Be on Broadway

But definitely not the way it might seem. I leave the performing to other members of my family; however, I am a self-professed Manhattan slut. Not, again, in the way it might initially seem, so minds out of the gutter. I love Manhattan. No, I LOVE Manhattan. I would live in Manhattan given half a chance, but at the very least, I just want to visit it as much as possible.

Apparently my Gotham fetish is widely known amongst my peer group, as evidenced by two birthday presents sweetly proffered to me at my delightful surprise party Friday night (thanks, Gene!). One, the ability to access about a zillion New York Times crosswords...I won't go any farther into detail because I don't want to accuse anyone of ripping off software. But thanks...you know who you are. Yay boat entertainment!

The second was perfectly legal and I am enjoying the hell out of it as we speak: City Secrets New York . It is a compilation of all the *best* stuff to do in New York from novelists, architects, actors, attorneys...the list goes on. It is utterly delightful and I highly recommend it as what I might term ManhattanPorn.

Sigh. What a hell of a town.
